Troubleshooting Guide:
Pictures taken without animal showing in picture:
1. Check to see if the unit is pointed where the rising or setting sun will trigger sensor.
2. If at night, the PIR sensor may be detecting animals beyond the flash range. Reduce the distance setting.
3. The PIR sensor may be detecting animals through vegetation out of view of the camera. Reduce the distance setting.
4. Small animals may be triggering the unit. Reduce the distance (sensitivity) setting and/or raise the height of the unit above the small animals.
5. If the animal was moving quickly, it may have moved out of the detection area before the camera took the picture.
a. Move the unit back further from this point if possible.
b. If on a trail, try pointing the camera down the trail or across the trail at an angle so that the animal will be in the picture zone for a longer period of time.
6. Make sure that the unit is mounted to a stable tree or other object that does not move.
The Cam-In-Use light is on, but the camera does not respond:
1. The camera may have timed out and shut down. Press the CAM-PW switch to turn the unit off. After the Cam-in-Use light goes off, press the Cam-PW switch again to turn back on.
2. If you have just turned the Cam-PW ON, wait a few seconds and try again after the camera has time to power-up. You will know that the camera is ready when the small light above the CF card slot lights and then turns off.
3. Try to replace for the 4pcs D type new batteries because some kind of battery may not support higher current consumption device like the DC plus flasher.
The CAM-PW switch does not respond:
If you have just turned the main power ON, wait a few seconds until the unit powers up and try again.
1. Re-Setting Unit
2. In the event that the unit does not respond or in case you find the LCD is always blank even you have turned the Power switch to ON, turn the main power switch to OFF and remove both sets of batteries for 10 minutes to re-set the unit. Stored pictures will be saved and the unit will return to default settings. You will need to re-enter custom settings for event recording.
The LED light on the front of the housing remains ON:
1. Check to see if the unit is in the TEST mode. The light remains On steady while warming up in the TEST mode.
2. The light remains ON if the CAM-PW is ON. Turn the CAM-PW switch OFF when leaving the unit.
Tips and Suggestions:
