Troubleshooting Guide:
Camera can’t start:
1. No Powered: -Check the power supply if you are using an external power or a Solar Power Pack system.
2. Run out of battery or one of them is in wrong polarity.
3. System halt: -Uninstall battery for 1min and power back ON.
4. SD card is damaged or over the maximum support 64GB
5. Goes to Power OFF during time-out in TEST mode: Restart by power back on
Camera functioning incorrectly:
No response to me suddenly during walk-test: -Talk test time is restricted by the auto power OFF setting at TEST mode. Just change the “Auto Power Off” in the setup menu to extend your desired period for a walk test temporarily.
Mobile network has problem, camera can’t send any picture or SMS or MMS:
1. Mobile signal too weak: Check Mobile signal to obtaining at least with 2 level or over.
2. You do not finish the Chapter V (5-2-2) or one or more wrong information to be entered. –Check and redo.
3. SIM card is out of credit: -Check it by a cellphone to proof.
4. SIM Operator is not supported: -If you just changed the SIM from a new Mobile provider, you have to redo a processing for Chapter V (5-2-2) completely.
5. Battery capacity is insufficient that the 3G module did stop.
6. Send Interval time is set to Off: -Change it in setup menu.
7. Can’t see what the current Mobile status is: -It is normal, just run Net Search in the Menu to update the 3G status while you attempt to place camera on a new environment.
8. Can’t receive image from email, but SMS is fine: -SMS will always come much earlier than email depend on image size; network quality. Also many factors like smtp; port; email account name /password in email parameters described on Chapter V (5-2-2) will be very important for receiving email by a desired device. You can re-check all of them easily by running the Net Info in system menu.
9. How can I do because I want to correct mistake that I found from Net Info result? –Read Chapter 5-2-2 to fix it.
Camera performance enhancement:
1. Where can I buy a Solar Power Pack? –Check our web www.wildspycam.com to get the information for model: SO6-3W. Call your local dealer to get it.
2. Any way to increase illumination on the target at night? –Yes, you can choose our IR booster series. Find our wired or wireless IR booster on our web site to improve night picture and video quality much more.
3. How can I secure this camera not be stolen easily? –You are suggested to choose a steel cabinet to protect your device. Find it on our web for this item on accessory page.
No animal showing in some pictures:
1. Check if the unit is pointed the direction where the sun is rising or sunset that the sensor might be triggered
2. The PIR sensor may detect an animals through vegetation out of view from the camera.
Camera seems NOT write any picture into my “Empty SD” card and displayed with Memory Full:
1. You must format the SD card which was ever used in the other device before applying it in this camera.
2. Check the current SD card and try to use a brand New SD card instead of your current SD.
Sometimes I could not get pictures and videos at night, but it was working fine at day times:
It is because the battery set for camera +IR light was too weak that could not work at night.
I have set Time lapse Enable in camera setting, but it seems it is not working:
To create your Time-lapse video, you have to use any Time-lapse software to assist. You can consult your dealer or download one of popular one from web.
I have set the shot mode for PICTURE already from AVI, but it worked improperly:
You need to always reboot the unit by power OFF and back ON after changed for either mode.
Can I just install a part of battery set into the bank-1 or bank-2 in case I will connect a solar power pack?
Yes. It is recommended. To install full sets batteries to fill the bank-1 or bank-2 compartments is ideal for power back up in case there might be a long time without shinning.
Reset the Unit out of System Halt:
In case the event counter stop to respond for any sensing, or you notice the LCD is always blank even the Power switch is ON, the system may halt already to cause the problem. Remove all batteries out of compartment for more than 10 minutes in order to reset the unit. All pictures will be retained and the unit will resume to the factory default settings. You will need to reprogram with your desired parameters before use.
